Le langage facial du chat décrypté



Oui les chats aussi ont droit à être compris.
Une étude a commencé à associer mimiques faciales et état mental du chat, le but n'étant pas de dire si le chat est heureux ou malheureux mais plutôt détendu ou stressé.
L'étude ayant été faite sur les chats d'un refuge, donc dans une situation relationnelle pas forcément naturelle et agréable, une autre se fera avec des chats "de famille" et viendra compléter ces données.

En voici un résumé rapide :

La peur, le stress :
- clignement, avec paupières fermées ou à demi-fermées.
- regard non intense ou évitant mais depuis la tête tournée vers la gauche

La frustration, l'énervement :
- sifflement
- léchage du nez
- ouverture de la mâchoire
- retroussement de la lèvre du haut
- retroussement du nez
- lèvre inférieure tombante
- aplatissement des oreilles
- sortie de la langue

La relaxation, le bien-être :
-  regard normal mais depuis la tête tournée vers la droite (oui c'est subtil...)

Les chiens se provoquent... tant qu'ils se sentent en sécurité.





Du coup peut-être que la même logique est en œuvre lorsque les chiens sont en laisse, lorsque deux chiens se croisent en laisse ils considèrent que l'autre est attaché à son maître et donc sans danger...
